Our Story

“I never would have dreamed that our working horse ranch would one day become the most beautiful and cherished wedding and event venue imaginable. When my daughter got engaged, she started looking for outdoor barn wedding venues. After touring several options, she came to me one evening with that look in her eye… You know, the look that says, “Mom, I’m about to ask for something big!” She proceeded to announce that she wanted to have her wedding right here at our ranch! I wish I could have seen the perplexed look on my face as she said to me, “Mom, our barn is just as beautiful as the one I just visited. So why not just have my wedding here?”

I reluctantly agreed and secretly thought she had lost her mind. So then the transformation began… We cleaned and painted and then cleaned and painted some more. We planned and decorated and then suddenly voila!! Our beautiful horse barn was magically transformed into a wedding wonderland! I had no idea how this one life event in our family would change the course of the future for our ranch.

Fast forward to today, as I look back over the years and the hundreds of weddings, dances, fundraisers and other events that we have hosted here since 2013, my heart is full!

The honor of witnessing relationships move to the next level as they exchange their vows under the same old large oak tree that my daughter married under, is rewarding all in itself. But even years after our couples have ridden off into the sunset, I love to see the joy they experience when they have their first child together. The excitement and pride they experience when they purchase their first home, start a new career, or get a promotion! And most of all, I love seeing them celebrate their anniversaries year after year as it gives me great pleasure to know that it all started right here!”

As I step into semi-retirement from the day-to- day operations here at the ranch, I’m proud to welcome Kristen Stewart of Signature Moments by Kristen as the new Operations Manager and Lead Planner and Coordinator. Kristen has 15 years plus experience in event planning and management, and she has been a great asset to our team here at RLR. Kristen and the RLR team are committed to the continued high quality of service we have always provided to our couples and clients. We treat all our couples just like family and as if it were our own son’s and daughter getting married here. We would love to add you to the 200 plus couples that have started their lives together here! Welcome to the family!

The Rocking L Ranch is a charming and affordable country rustic, shabby chic event venue complete with hand made farm tables, mixed-matched vintage chairs, and decor. We also offer All-Inclusive Wedding Day Packages or you are welcome to bring your own vendors. We host a variety of other events such as family reunions, company picnics, bridal showers, and birthday parties. We are located on the East Central Florida Coast just minutes from the beaches and Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal. We are approximately 1 hour from Disney and Daytona Beach.
