    • This article is full of untrue statements. First of all, I politely declined Terri and Amanda’s requests to do a “same-sex” wedding here. And for the call back that Amanda received from me, I in no way made those statements to her about not setting foot on my property, nor did I preach to anyone about God ever. That is an outright lie. And furthermore, when I stated that I noticed that her groom was Beth, I simply stated that we do not host same-sex marriage here. I apologized to her, and then Amanda hung up on me. It seems to me that it is ok for the LBGT community to force their “rights” to re-define the definition of marriage that has been in place in society since the beginning of time but it is not ok for me to enforce might right as an individual, religious beliefs or not, to decline to be a part of it. I am a business owner and if I choose not to allow nude weddings, wild bachelor parties or same sex weddings, this is my right to do so, just as it is their right to practice their beliefs somewhere else. As mentioned in this article that there are many other venues that are fine with hosting same sex marriages so there is no need to become angry with me for politely declining. Live and let live, but don’t force anyone that happens to not agree with you to be a part of something they do not wish to be a part of. I was not rude until I was horribly attacked on facebook for refusing them. I find this group of individuals and this media source to be full of lies and misleading statements to further their agenda. Also, I was never contacted by Watermark for an interview much decline one. But thank you for writing this article about The Rocking L Ranch in relation to this subject even though it is not entirely accurate. Hopefully it will help other same-sex couples find places that will accommodate them.
